Hillsborough Estate
Christopher Roy & Co. updated this 1920’s Georgian-style garden estate in Hillsborough for a young professional couple and their three children. Working closely with Skurman Architects, who sensitively renovated and expanded the two-story residence from 9,100 to 11,700 square feet, the team created interiors that are both cultivated and deeply livable.
Throughout the home, Willem Racké Studio contributed an array of decorative finishes, including Venetian plaster, glazed millwork, strié, marbleization, and metal leaf. Against this richly layered backdrop, a carefully edited collection of custom furnishings, antiques, and collectibles brings character and distinction to each room. The result balances the formality of entertaining in the living and dining rooms with the ease of family life, creating a gracious home that feels sophisticated, welcoming, and enduring.
